Plazer

Plazer is our encrypted messenger for communities, and this is its website. It explains what the device encrypts, what the server never sees and how to run your own server for your community. Every group of features has its own page: messages, private chats, servers, voice and streams, privacy, appearance, profile, meeting people, bots and automations.

Plazer

The Challenge

An end-to-end encrypted messenger is easy to describe so that only a cryptographer understands it, or so vaguely that nobody believes it. The site had to explain encryption in plain words, say honestly what the server sees and what it does not, and show that Plazer is a full messenger with servers, voice and profiles, not just a secure chat.

Our Solution

A home page on encryption, a lightweight app, open source and privacy
A section on what every server sees and what it does not
Feature pages: messages, private chats, servers, voice and streams, privacy, appearance, profile, meeting people, bots, self-hosting and +lazer
A comparison with Signal, Telegram, TeamSpeak and Matrix, pros and cons included
A download page for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and the browser
App screens in a laptop and a phone beside the text
A light and a dark theme switched from the navigation
Polish and English versions with hreflang, every page ready as HTML and installable as an app
