The tool starts in your browser.
Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our server.
How to use it in three steps
The tool as a schematic with this page's example. Each step's number stands where you take it: in the fields, at the result or outside the tool.
Pick the server version, write the text and split it into parts.
Give each part a colour, a click action or a hover tooltip.
Copy the /tellraw or /title command.
A clickable chat line in one command
Minecraft text is a list of parts, each with its own colour and event. The tool builds the JSON from them without a stray comma, in the format of the version you pick. The result is computed by the same function the tool at the top of the page uses, every time the page is shown.
You set
- Text
- Join our Discord
- Colour
- blue
- On click
- open a link: https://discord.gg/your-server
A text part
- JSON
- {"text":"Join our Discord","color":"blue"}
Each part is an object with the text and colour. blue is #5555ff in the game. A single part is written without list brackets.
The click from 1.21.5
- click_event
- {"action":"open_url","url":"https://discord.gg/your-server"}
The action goes into click_event and the link into the url field. Without a value the tool leaves the action out.
A 1.21.4 or older server
- clickEvent
- {"action":"open_url","value":"https://discord.gg/your-server"}
The same line in the old format: the event is called clickEvent and the link sits in the value field.
Command
- The line with a link in every player's chat, on a 1.21.5 or newer server
/tellraw @a {"text":"Join our Discord","color":"blue","click_event":{"action":"open_url","url":"https://discord.gg/your-server"}}How the text shows up in chat
Tellraw writes in chat and supports clicks, while title shows large text in the middle of the screen. The colour blue is #5555ff in the game.
