VulCode

Public relations at VulCode: Instagram posts, LinkedIn and X

We are looking for someone for the serious side of communication: Instagram posts and stories, LinkedIn announcements and statements on X. The places where a client checks whether we can be trusted.

The Flaem panel dashboard: revenue, active clients, server nodes and the cases waiting for a person
: Flaem, our panel for hosting companies, one of the products you write about

Three channels, three kinds of content

Every channel has a different reader, so the same news looks different on each.

Instagram
What you post
Posts, carousels and project stories. No reels.
Who reads it
Clients and people who follow the brand day to day.
Tone
Factual, with the picture in front.
Example topic
How a website project went from sketch to launch.
LinkedIn
What you post
Company announcements: projects, releases, hiring, milestones.
Who reads it
Businesses, partners and job candidates.
Tone
Formal, specific, with numbers only when they are true.
Example topic
We are hiring for new roles.
X
What you post
Short statements and comments on behalf of VulCode.
Who reads it
Developers and people following the industry.
Tone
Short, no frills, with a link to the details.
Example topic
Our change landed in a big open source project.

Your tasks

What you will work on day to day. We fit the scope to the time you have.

Public relations
What a company announces should look as serious as what it builds.

Channels

  • Instagram posts and stories
  • LinkedIn announcements

Carousels, graphics and project stories, without reels, which belong to the social media role. New projects, product releases, hiring and what we achieved as a company.

Statements and the plan

  • Statements on X
  • Publishing calendar

Short positions and comments on behalf of VulCode, to the point and without filler. A plan weeks ahead: what, where and when, agreed with us.

Voice and facts

  • One brand voice
  • Material from the team

The same way of writing on every channel, consistent with what the website says. Collecting screenshots, numbers and descriptions from the people who did the work, and checking they are true.

What this role is about

How this differs from social media

Reels and memes are a separate role. This one is about content read by a future client, partner or candidate: that we are hiring, that we finished a project, that we released a new product version, that a big open source project merged our code.

How we want to run it

We want it planned ahead: which announcement goes out in which week, on which channel and in what form, instead of posting something once every few months.

What you will write about

Releases of our products and projects for clients, real screenshots of them.

  • Plazer on a computer: a chat with a voice message and a photo gallery

    Product releases

Plazer, Flaem and Gyred: new versions and features to announce on LinkedIn and X.

  • The Aphrodi website: an agency that creates memorable brands

    Projects for clients

Aphrodi got a website we built pixel-perfect from their design; projects like this are what you write about on LinkedIn.

What happens after you send it

1You send an email

To hello@vulcode.com, with the role in the subject line and examples of your work.

2We read it

The application goes straight to the person you will work with, with no HR department in between.

3An online call

A short call in Polish or English about what you do and how you see the role.

4We agree on the scope

How much time, which tasks to start with and how we settle up, before you begin.

Probably not if

You would rather shoot videos than write. You want to write for reach whether or not it is true. Technology and IT topics are not your thing.

Questions about this role before you apply.

Other roles

We are looking for other people too. The nearest to this role is Social media.

Apply with one email

A few sentences about yourself and links to what you have already done. The subject fills itself in. It is for you if:

  • You write correctly and concisely, without corporate jargon
  • You know what works on LinkedIn and X
  • You like planning and sticking to a calendar
  • You check facts before you publish them

No mail app? and the role's name fills itself in.
