The tool starts in your browser.

Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our server.

How to use it in three steps

The tool as a schematic with this page's example. Each step's number stands where you take it: in the fields, at the result or outside the tool.

CSV and JSON
What you enter
name,price Website,1199 "Shop, with payments",4999
  1. Paste CSV or JSON.

  2. Set the separator and headers.

What you get
[ { "name": "Website", "price": "1199" }, { "name": "Shop, with payments", "price": "4999" } ]
  1. Copy the result in the other format.

A spreadsheet export with a comma inside a field

A spreadsheet quotes every field that contains the separator. A parser that ignores quotes would split such a field in two and shift the rest of the row. The result is computed by the same function the tool at the top of the page uses, every time the page is shown.

You paste

CSV
name,price Website,1199 "Shop, with payments",4999
Separator
comma

Rows and fields

Row 3
["Shop, with payments","4999"]
What the tool does

Quotes protect the separator: everything between them stays one field.

Headers as keys

Keys
name, price
What the tool does

The first row gives the key names. Every value stays text, numbers too, so nothing gets rounded.

JSON

  • [ { "name": "Website", "price": "1199" }, { "name": "Shop, with payments", "price": "4999" } ]
