The launch price says the least about a store, because each route has fees that recur monthly or yearly. On a SaaS plan you pay for the platform, with WooCommerce for hosting and extensions, and with a custom build for development and upkeep. Gateway fees apply in all three. For a store selling in Poland:
What you pay after launch
| Route | Recurring fees | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Shoper | Standard plan after the first year: PLN 3,249 net a year on annual billing | payment method fees come on top of the plan |
| Shopify | Basic plan: PLN 79 a month billed yearly, PLN 109 billed monthly | with an outside gateway instead of Shopify Payments, 2% per transaction on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced |
| WooCommerce | the plugin is free under the GPL; you pay for hosting and paid extensions | WordPress, plugin and theme updates are on you |
| Custom build | hosting and maintenance | no platform percentage and no plan limits |
When your own store pays off
A percentage fee grows with your sales. On Shopify Basic with an outside gateway, 2% of PLN 50,000 in monthly sales is PLN 1,000, every month, whether or not anything in the store changes. A custom store has no such fee, and its links to your ERP, wholesaler or Allegro are built into its code around the way you sell. If a SaaS plan covers what you need at launch, we say so before quoting.
We build custom stores with BLIK and Przelewy24 payments, InPost shipping and Allegro integration, and once the store is accepted and paid in full, the code is yours.
What a custom store covers and how we quote it are on our online stores and e-commerce page.
