The five gateways charge in three ways: a percentage plus a fee per transaction, a lower percentage with a monthly package, or a percentage alone. So the ranking moves with your average basket. These are the standard BLIK rates, worked out on a PLN 100 order:
BLIK in the gateways' standard price lists
| Gateway | BLIK fee | Cost on a PLN 100 order |
|---|---|---|
| Przelewy24 | 1.29% + PLN 0.30 | PLN 1.59 |
| PayU | 1.1% + PLN 0.32, sign-up PLN 29 | PLN 1.42 |
| Tpay Starter | 1.59% + PLN 0.41, activation PLN 99 | PLN 2.00 |
| Tpay Business | 0.99% + PLN 0.02 and a PLN 99 package for each month with transactions | PLN 1.01 plus the package |
| Paynow | 0.95%, free sign-up | PLN 0.95 |
| Stripe | 1.6% + PLN 1.00, no fixed charges | PLN 2.60 |
What changes the result
A fixed fee hurts most on small baskets: on a PLN 20 order Stripe takes PLN 1.32, or 6.6% of its value. At a PLN 100 basket, the Tpay Business package pays for itself against Starter from 100 BLIK payments a month. Paynow, mBank's gateway, makes BLIK and fast-transfer money available as soon as the customer pays. Tpay and PayU list instalments and buy-now-pay-later options, Przelewy24 offers merchants new to online sales 0% on card payments for 12 months under the Polska Bezgotówkowa programme, and Stripe suits apps with subscriptions and customers abroad.
Once the gateway is chosen, what matters more than the fee is the moment an order counts as paid. In our integrations only a verified notification from the gateway or a query to its API changes the status, and a notification delivered twice never ships the goods twice.
We integrate all five gateways, and our online payments page compares them from the integration side.
